Domaine Rostaing is widely regarded as one of the top estates in Côte-Rôtie, Northern Rhône. Founded by René Rostaing in 1971—following the union of two historic winegrowing families—the domaine is now led by his son Pierre, who continues the legacy with unwavering dedication to authenticity and craft.

The estate manages around 20 vineyard parcels across some of the most prestigious terroirs: Côte Blonde, La Landonne, Ampodium, and Condrieu, as well as vineyards in the Languedoc. The vines grow on steep, terraced slopes composed of mica schist, granite sands, limestone, and pebbles, facing southwest at elevations between 200 and 325 meters.

Viticulture here is manual and demanding, due to the steep terrain and the presence of old, low-yielding vines. Harvest is done by hand, fermentation uses native yeasts, and only a portion of the grapes are destemmed. Aging takes place in 600-liter oak barrels, with minimal use of new wood (about 5%) to preserve the purity of the fruit.
