Praesidium, authentic wines from Abruzzo

Praesidium is a family owned Abruzzo winery owned by the Pasquale family, established in 1988 and located in Prezza, Abruzzo, in a valley particularly suited for the cultivation of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes. The winery spreads on five hectares of vineyards cultivated in an ideal microclimate and according to organic farming principles inspired to traditional farming methods.

In the vineyard are kept low yields per hectare, trying to reach the quality of grapes to the detriment of quantity, as well as minimal interventions in the cellar or the use of chemicals. Fermentation is done with autochthonous yeasts only, and the doses of sulfur dioxide used are much lower than those allowed by the organic certification.

All this gives life to Praesidium's range, made of labels which are authentic expressions of the land they come from, wines with a strong and genuine personality, capable of telling in the glass the story of a winery and of a special terroir.
