LECLAPART

David-Leclapart grandi bottiglieLeclapart unconventional Champagne

David Léclapart is an eclectic and visionary winemaker of Champagne, one of the region's reference points for the natural production of Champagne. His adventure in the world of wine began in 1997, when, after the death of his father, owner of 3 hectares of vineyards in the village of Trèpail in the heart of the Reims Mountains, he decided to take the reins of the family business.

After studying in the oenological school of Beaujeu and having trained for two years at Leclerc-Briant, he started his own production in the family estate: After years of study, experimentation and hard work, in 2000 David managed to obtain certification for organic agriculture. , because producing wine in a natural way has always been one of its primary objectives: it was one of the first producers of Champagne to work in biodynamic and to be appreciated and recognized by critics since the first bottles produced. Today David is known all over the world as an artist and nonconformist winemaker, for example in the choice of having the sheep in the vineyard which according to him contribute to the development of it, by burning the grass and returning organic material to the soil.

David Lèclapart's Champagnes are pure and unconventional expressions of the terroir of origin, obtained through traditional methods, with the minimum use of modern techniques and with the utmost respect for nature and the ecosystem. They are fine, fascinating and complex Champagne that seduce amateurs from all over the world.
