JEREMY ARNAUD

The Domaine Jeremy Arnaud is a story deeply rooted in a long family tradition of winemaking, yet it also represents a personal journey of discovery and passion within the world of wine. Jeremy Arnaud, heir to this tradition, embraced the destiny of viticulture after an uncertain start in his academic career.

After dedicating time and effort to theoretical learning and hands-on experience, Jeremy turned his dream of producing quality wines into a tangible reality. From the outset of his journey at the prestigious Beaune Wine School to achieving a National Diploma in Oenology from the University of Montpellier, he honed his skills and understanding of the winemaking process.

Jeremy's professional experiences, spanning vineyards worldwide from France to the United States, enriched his knowledge base. Working in family estates, renowned wineries, and cooperatives, he gained a comprehensive understanding of various approaches to viticulture, from traditional to innovative.

Jeremy Arnaud established his own estate just a few years ago in the heart of the Chablis vineyards, starting from scratch. Despite his familial viticultural roots, he chose to embark on this journey alone, acquiring a small plot of vineyard measuring 0.55 hectares.

Jeremy's philosophy is to allow the vines to fully express themselves, aiming to produce authentic wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and characteristics of each vintage. Guided by a conviction and commitment to ecology, he minimizes interventions in the vineyard, preserving the integrity of the soil. He has implemented ecological development zones around his vineyards and maintains the landscape heritage of his lands.

In the cellar, his philosophy translates into a minimalist approach. Jeremy limits interventions during vinification and aging to only what is strictly necessary, avoiding altering the essence or typicity of the wine. No interference with added yeasts or enzymes, and sulfur dioxide doses are kept to a minimum.

Jeremy Arnaud stands out as a promising winemaker in a Chablis region that he believes could be more dynamic. There is keen anticipation to follow his progress in future vintages, hoping to discover ever-new nuances in his wines.
