MoreDomaine Jean-Baptiste Boudier is a historic family estate located in the heart of the northern Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. The roots of the domaine date back to the early 20th century, when the Boudier family began cultivating vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton, two emblematic villages of the region.
Today, the estate is led by Jean-Baptiste Boudier, fifth-generation vigneron, who took over the family vineyards in 2015. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Dijon and Bordeaux, he returned to Burgundy with a clear vision: to express each terroir with precision, humility and minimal intervention, combining traditional savoir-faire with scientific understanding.
The domaine covers 6.5 hectares divided into 23 parcels, all located within the prestigious “golden triangle” of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Most of the vines are very old, some planted as early as 1942, and grow on a wide range of soils including limestone, clay, marl and sandy textures.
Production includes 11 appellations, from Village wines to Premiers Crus and two outstanding Grands Crus: Corton-Renardes and Corton-Charlemagne. Thanks to its location near the famous Hill of Corton, the domaine works with some of the most renowned terroirs in Burgundy.
Viticulture is carried out using sustainable practices, with limited treatments guided by an estate weather station. In the cellar, vinifications are gentle and precise: infusion-style macerations, partial whole-cluster fermentations, indigenous yeasts and carefully controlled ageing in French oak, with a low proportion of new barrels. Since the 2023 vintage, all white wines are produced without added sulphur.
Domaine Jean-Baptiste Boudier wines stand out for their purity, elegance and strong sense of place, offering a refined and contemporary interpretation of the great terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
