In the heart of the Loire Valley, amidst the gentle landscapes of the Sologne vineyards, lies Domaine des Corbillières, one of the most emblematic producers of the Touraine Oisly appellation. Its story begins in 1923, when Fabel Barbou, great-grandfather of the current owner, purchased the estate and planted the first Sauvignon Blanc vines in the area—pioneering a varietal that would become the region’s hallmark.

Today, the estate is led by Dominique Barbou, the fourth generation of the family, who oversees 28 hectares of vineyards surrounding the village of Oisly, recognized as one of the finest terroirs in Touraine. Here, on sandy and clay soils, Sauvignon Blanc reveals its best expression, producing refined, complex wines marked by vibrant freshness and distinctive minerality.

The Domaine des Corbillières is organically farmed, with a deep respect for nature and the soil’s natural balance. The vines, averaging 25 years of age, benefit from a mild climate and low yields, which ensure aromatic concentration and purity. The result is a collection of wines that are elegant, expressive, and faithful to their terroir.

Since 2011, the estate’s wines have been part of the Touraine Oisly appellation, reserved for selected parcels from the best vineyards in the Sologne region. While Sauvignon Blanc represents two-thirds of the vineyard, the remaining plots are planted with Gamay, Côt (Malbec) and Pinot Noir for red and rosé wines, and a small portion of Chardonnay used in Crémant de Loire blends.
