Domaine de L'Horizon, Languedoc Rousillon wines with a Spanish soul At the foot of the Pyrenees, not far from the Spanish border, lies the small village of Calce, a village of 200 inhabitants northwest of Perpignan, where the winery of Domaine de L'Horizon is located. 

Making wine in Lime is not at all easy, the vines are ancient and the yields are low, the vineyards rise on the rock and extend in all directions, making the work of the machines impossible, it takes an almost superhuman level of dedication, perseverance, vision and spirit to cure these vineyards, to forge the wine from the thick blood of these imposing old vines.

Among the Vigneron di Calce vigneron is Thomas Teibert, founder and owner of Domaine de L'Horizon, who was born in Germany and worked as an oenologist and commercial consultant first in Trentino Alto Adige, then in Austria, France and Spain. In 2005 the meeting with Gerard Gauby who introduced him to the difficult soul of Lime and the intuition of wanting to make wine right there, Clace represents the ultimate challenge for a winemaker with so much experience, the difficulties are a stimulus that Teibert immediately accepted.

The Domaine de l'Horizon has 17 hectares cultivated under biodynamic conditions since 2009, 10 red berry and 7 white berry, clinging to a rocky hill beaten by the wind of the Mediterranean Sea.

Indigenous varieties such as Carignan, Grenache, Macabeu and Grenache Gris are cultivated using low intervention practices in the cellar. Dramatic wines from a dramatic landscape.
