Domaine d’Elise, located just outside Chablis in the commune of Milly, is a distinguished estate in northern Burgundy. Founded in 1970 and acquired in 1982 by Frédéric Prain, the Domaine is unique for its 13-hectare vineyard, entirely contained in a single parcel, with Frédéric’s house and winery at its center, allowing direct control over all winemaking steps.

The vineyards are situated directly above the Premier Cru Côte de Lechet, with a south/southeast exposure, on poor, stony soils typical of the region, imparting the wines with mineral character and freshness. During the growing season, rigorous pruning limits yields to 45-50 hl/ha, and harvesting is done as late as possible to ensure perfect ripeness.

Domaine d’Elise produces Chablis, Chablis Villages, and Petit Chablis, showcasing the unique Kimmeridgian and Portlandian soils. The philosophy focuses on fruit purity, terroir expression, and elegance, resulting in wines with freshness, minerality, and balanced structure.
