Domaine Grosbot-Barbara was born in 1910, and is located in Bransat. Ellie Grosbot suggests to Denis Barbara, nephew of a winemaker from Saint Pourçain, at the end of his oenology and viticulture studies in Burgundy, to collaborate with them. He accepts and in 1996 the GROSBOT-BARBARA domain was created. In 2001, a functional building consisting of cellar and storage was built in Cesset, the residence of Denis Barbara.

Surrounded by vineyards, this estate offers a really nice view for tourists who come to visit it, certainly something that is not seen in every day. Over the years, with 8.5 hectares, and always the same passion, Denis Barbara acquires experience that provides him with progress in his qualitative approach, respecting every plot, thus revealing every vintage, his work in force, all taking into account the risks climate.

A reasoned agriculture, in view of the conversion to organic, therefore requires all the attention, care and needs of the winemaker. In 2015, an existing existing extension was offered, with a dedicated room dedicated to vinification and aging in barrels, an innovation for visitors.The wines of the estate, which are increasingly appreciated, satisfy tourists, expert tasters, professionals and agencies (USA, Canada, Italy, Belgium).

Inexhaustible and passionate, these are two qualities of the oenologist who enchants those who are met: Denis Barbara is able to bring the layman or oenophile to the discovery of his profession: to show his vineyard and his vegetative phase, he explains the various operates during the internship, the rate includes the various stages of winemaking from the arrival of the harvest to the aging of the wines, making them taste by adding techniques and suggestions to get the best way to catch a wine.
