SRC is a winery in Sicily that is located in Randazzo, in the Calderara district. It was founded in 2012 by Rori, Cinzia and Sandra, who are passionate about wine and very attached to the territory of Etna, with the aim of producing a wine that respects and reflects the terroir of the north side of Etna in an authentic way.
The meaning of SRC is "to be there": each production phase is reduced to a minimum, the land is worked a maximum of twice a year, leaving the wild herbs to grow freely and most of the processing is done by hand. Any kind of chemical substance is banned and sulphur treatments or other natural fertilisers are only used if strictly necessary.
The estate has a total extension of 12 hectares where, in addition to the traditional grapes of the area such as nerello mascalese, grenache, carricante, coda di volpe, Iinsolia and minnella, olive groves and fruit trees are also cultivated. All this in a beautiful environmental context of woods and surrounded by old dry stone walls.
