CHATEAU CHARMAIL

Chateau Charmail Grandi BottiglieChâteau Charmail, fine wines from Bordeaux

Château Charmail is a Bordeaux winery located in the Haut-Médoc appellation area, on the left bank of the region's vineyards, and extends between the south-facing Médoc valleys to the edge of the Gironde.

Of very ancient origins, it was founded in the 16th century by the Trevey de Charmail family, but the beginnings of the family's winemaking activity date back to the 18th century. Since 1982 there has been a notable development thanks to the work directed by Olivier Seze - today collaborating oenologist of the property - who since 2008 has entrusted the reins to Bernard d'Halluin and his daughter Marie.

The grapes are cultivated with total respect for the characteristics of the land, and the main varieties used are those typical of the Médoc: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, typical of Haut-Médoc. The result is fruity, balanced and elegant wines.
