Nuits Saint Georges "Les Damodes" 2019 is a fine French wine produced by Frederic Cossard through organic and biodynamic farming methods, without the use of herbicides and other chemicals.
The 100% Pinot Noir grapes come from a lieu dit of sixty-year-old vines located on the border of Vosne-Romanée, with a terroir that is predominantly calcareous as opposed to clayey, which differs from the classic soil composition of the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges. These characteristics give the wine a great balance between finesse and power.
Frederic Cossard's Nuits St Georges Les Damodes 2019 has a bright ruby red colour, while expressing notes of red and black fruit on the nose with hints of spice and a mineral touch. The sip is powerful and structured but balanced by a lovely freshness and elegance. A red wine with a great predisposition for ageing, it will express its full potential after a few years of refinement in the bottle.
