Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru 2016 is a fine Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Tortochot. The grapes that make up this bottle of French natural wine, produced without the use of sulphites or chemicals, come from a plot in Mazis Chambertin that Tortochot works and interprets in his style through a 100% new aging in wood. The result is a perfectly harmonious and balanced wine, characteristics that become more evident as the years go by. Ruby red in color, the nose is balanced between the primary fruity notes and the tertiary hints of aging in wood. In the mouth it is medium bodied, with strong and elegant tannins, a nice freshness and persistence.

Domaine Tortochot is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Brigitte and Chantal Tortochot guide the reins of the company with the utmost respect for the traditions of Burgundy: low yields, organic farming is practised in the vineyard where the only fertilisers given to the soil are biodynamic preparations. Harvesting is manual, fermentation is spontaneous and the wines are aged in 100% new barriques for the Grands Crus, 50% for the Premier Cru and 25% for the Villages for a period of 15 to 18 months. The wines of the domaine Tortochot are products of the highest quality from prestigious terroirs.
