Description

Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetieres 2013 Armand Rousseau

The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetieres is a fine red wine from Burgundy produced by Armand Rousseau's historic winery, which works according to organic farming methods to produce authentic, territorial and elegant wines.

Such is the case with this Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetieres, whose Pinot Noir grapes come from the Grand Cru vineyard of the same name facing east on Bajocian limestone base and chalky soils, which lend great finesse to the wines.

Armand Rousseau's 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is ruby red in colour. The intense and expressive nose opens with aromas of ripe fruit, followed by spicy notes. The palate is taut, supported by a powerful body and a good tannic texture.

ARMAND ROUSSEAU

Domaine Armand Rousseau is a highly prestigious entity in Burgundy, producing wines of incredible quality. The estate is based in the village of Gevrey Chambertin and manages 15 hectares of vineyards, 8.5 of which are in the Grand Cru Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Charmes-Chambertin, Ruchottes-Chambertin, Mazy-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche. The vineyards, planted mainly with pinot noir, have an average age of 45 years and are worked in such a way as to minimise yields, while vinification is very traditional, respecting the winery's style which has been handed down from generation to generation.
