Flaccianello 2018 Fontodi
The "Flaccianello della Pieve" is a fine Italian wine produced by the Fontodi company. It is one of the most renowned labels of the Chianti Classico appellation, in the Tuscany region: a red wine of great character, as well as among the first "Supertuscan" obtained only from the international Sangiovese grape. It comes from a selection of the best grapes and ages in new Allier barriques for 24 months, plus 10 of bottle aging. It is a great complex and structured wine, with a fruity bouquet of blackberry and cherry; in the mouth it is full and balanced, the roundness is also given by the aging in wood which does not cover the original hints of the grapes, to give life to an authentic and pure wine, with a great body and very long persistence. Put simply, the spearhead of the company, a precious wine to be kept in the cellar for ten years.

VINIFICATION: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in stainless steel tanks for 3 weeks; malolactic fermentation carried out in large barrels; Aging 24 months in new Troncais and Allier barriques, 10 in bottle.
