Chianti Classico 2018 Isole e Olena
Chianti Classico 2018 is a Tuscan red wine produced by Isole and Olena. This bottle is an authentic expression of the grape and the territory it belongs to. It is produced with Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Syrah grapes, hand harvested from vineyards in the hills of Barberino Val d'Elsa, in the province of Florence.
All the production processes are done with great attention and respect for the territory, in line with Isole e Olena's philosophy: fermentation with maceration in skins is done for 15-20 days with daily pumping over and délestage. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in barriques and other barrels of various sizes before bottling.
Chianti Classico 2018 from Isole e Olena expresses an intense ruby red color, with aromas of red berries such as cherry, raspberry and black currant on the nose, floral notes of violet and herbs such as thyme and lavender. The taste is pretty structured, animated by a nice crispness and a tannin present but well blended with the body of the wine.
