Description

Champagne Contraste #2 Paul Launois

Champagne Contraste #2 by Paul Launois is a Blanc de Noir featuring Meunier grapes from the Ardre Valley. Situated on moderately steep hillsides, the vineyards in Vallée de l'Ardre are divided into plots across twenty communes. The clay-limestone and clay-marl soils, along with frequent spring frosts, favor Meunier, comprising 75% of the vineyard.

Its reduced "liqueur de dosage" classifies it as an Extra Brut champagne. This approach allows the wine to freely express the finesse of its aromas and the identity of its terroir. The invigorating attack transitions into a delightful bouquet of yellow fruit and flowers, culminating in a lingering, slightly salty finish. Fresh, fruity, and elegant, Cuvée Contraste is a refined wine capturing the distinctive essence of the Ardre Valley.
