Brunello di Montalcino 2007 Banfi
Banfi's Brunello di Montalcino is a Tuscan red wine produced by the renowned Italian winery Banfi Vintners, located in the region of Tuscany, Italy.
The grapes used for the production of this wine come exclusively from vineyards located in the area of Montalcino, in the province of Siena. The grape variety used in the production of Brunello di Montalcino is Sangiovese Grosso, one of Tuscany's most important and prized grapes, which is the basis for some of the region's best red wines.
Banfi's Brunello di Montalcino is made using the traditional method of fermentation in wooden barrels. After the grapes are harvested by hand, they are gently pressed to extract the must, which is then fermented in oak barrels for at least three years. The wine is then bottled without filtration to preserve its integrity and complexity.
Organoleptically, Banfi's Brunello di Montalcino is an intense ruby red wine with garnet highlights. On the nose, it has a complex and intense bouquet of berries, spices and floral notes. In the mouth, the wine is dry, elegant and structured, with fine tannins and good acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of ripe fruit and spices.
