Barolo Riserva Monprivato Ca d'Morissio is one of the most important red wines of the Langa produced by the historic Giuseppe Mascarello winery in the prestigious Monprivato cru in Castiglione Falletto. Nebbiolo grapes from centuries-old vineyards on calcareous-clayey soils. After slow fermentation and very long maceration, it ages for over 3 years in cask. Garnet ruby, ethereal bouquet of red fruits, violets and spices. Sip of rare elegance, velvety tannins, perfect freshness. An icon of Barolo, to be combined with important dishes.

Barolo Riserva Monprivato Ca d'Morissio 2012 Giuseppe Mascarello

This sublime Barolo Riserva comes to us from the Mascarello winery, a historic Piedmontese producer. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the famous Monprivato cru, located in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, more precisely from the part called "Ca'd Morissio" owned by the family.

The vineyard is located at 280m above sea level on calcareous-clayey soils, perfect for giving Nebbiolo complexity and longevity. After a rigorous manual selection, a traditional vinification takes place with very long maceration on the skins. The refinement lasts 40 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

The result is a Barolo with a garnet red color embellished with orange reflections. The nose reveals an ethereal bouquet of red fruits, violets and spices. In the mouth it is austere and elegant, with velvety tannins and perfect freshness. An icon of Barolo and of all Italian wine, to be combined with important dishes.
