Barolo Riserva "Cerretta Vigna Bricco" 2015 di Elio Altare
Barolo Cerretta Vigna Bricco 2015 is a fine wine from Piedmont produced by Elio Altare. It is made from Nebbiolo grapes from 20-year-old vines from the Cru of the same name located in Serralunga d'Alba, which grow on soil composed of clayey-calcareous marl with an eastern exposure.
According to Elio Altare's philosophy, this label is also produced with minimal intervention both in the vineyard, where yields are very low, and in the cellar. In the style of the great French wines, Elio prefers to age the wine in barriques rather than in traditional large barrels, in a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. Maceration on the skins in rotary fermentors takes place at a controlled temperature for 4/5 days, followed by ageing in French barriques (30% new) for 24 months.
The Barolo Cerretta Vigna Bricco 2015 has an intense ruby red colour with garnet highlights, while on the nose it expresses an intense and complex bouquet of spices, liquorice, balsamic and menthol notes for a warm, tannic and structured sip.
