Barolo Cerretta 2017 Giacomo Conterno
Giacomo Conterno's Barolo Cerretta comes from the Cerretta cru of the same name, located in the northern part of the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba. It is a very structured, intense and deep red wine that tells very well the refined austerity of the great wines of the Langhe.
It is one of the most prestigious labels of the Piedmontese wine, the result of the work of one of the most important wineries in the Langhe, Giacomo Conterno, a name known to wine lovers all over the world for the legendary Monfortino.
Cerretta is a traditional Barolo, sought after all over the world, matured in large casks for at least 40 months before finishing its refinement in the bottle.
In the glass it is an intense garnet red with a very complex bouquet of typical hints of Nebbiolo di Langa, violet, rose petals, aromatic herbs, spices and small red berries, tobacco and balsamic nuances. In the mouth it is full and powerful, austere when young like the great Piedmontese wines, with dense tannins and a pleasant refreshing finish that never ends.
