Barolo Bussia 2000 Poderi Aldo Conterno
Barolo Bussia 2000 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Poderi Aldo Conterno, one of the most renowned historical wineries of the Langhe region.
It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes of Michet and Lampia varieties, coming from various vineyards of about 20 years old in Bussia, in the commune of Monforte d'Alba. Fermentation with maceration in skins for about 20-30 days takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a maximum peak of 32° C (32° F). The new wine is racked several times before being put in oak casks where it ages and refines.
Aldo Conterno's Barolo Bussia 2000 shows a beautiful garnet red color with orange reflections. The aromas that invade the nose range from ripe red fruit, such as plum, powder, cinchona, tobacco, licorice and balsamic herbs. The palate is structured, with harmonious tannins but still retains nice acidity, for a spicy finish. A great wine from a great terroir.
