Barbaresco "Muncagota" Riserva 2016 is a fine wine from Piedmont produced by Produttori del Barbaresco. Nebbiolo grapes come from the "Muncagota" vineyard characterized by a clayey and calcareous soil, facing south-east, which produces a very floral Barbaresco with a particularly strong tannin, which therefore requires some time in the cellar. The Barbaresco Muncagota Riserva 2015 shows a very bright garnet color; The nose gives complex hints of red and purple fruit, then tertiary including skin, leather and sweet spices. In the mouth it is structured and austere, with a fresh sip and an enveloping tannin.

Cantina Cooperativa dei Produttori del Barbaresco is the historical winery of the homonymous Piedmontese town of Barbaresco, founded in 1958 thanks to Don Fiorino Marengo. Today the Cooperativa dei Produttori del Barbaresco winery has 50 members with about 110 hectares of vineyards in Barolo in the 9 best crus of the denomination: Asili, Muncagota, Pora, Rabaja, Ovello, Montestefano, Montefico, Rio Sordo and Pajé; every year a bottle of Barbaresco Riserva per Cru, a Barbaresco Docg from the union of the 9 crus and a Langhe Nebbiolo are produced.
