Barbaresco Riserva "Montefico" 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco

Barbaresco Riserva "Montefico" 2015 is a fine red wine produced by Produttori del Barbaresco. The wine comes from the small Montefico vineyard, located at a height of 250 m above sea level and located east of the municipality of Barbaresco, a cru famous for giving a Barbaresco with delicate and austere features at the same time: refined floral and fruity aromas, hints of liquorice and with a particularly elegant, fresh and deep sip. A Barbaresco that can be safely drunk in youth, but with a great predisposition to aging. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for about 4 weeks. The wine then ages for 36 months in oak barrels before bottling with a further 12 months of settling in the bottle before being marketed. In the glass it has a ruby red color tending to garnet and gives floral aromas, aromas of small red berry fruits, nuances of spices and licorice root. The sip is dynamic and vertical, with a delicate mouth center and a very fresh and mineral finish. A great Barbaresco with a refined face.

Cantina Cooperativa dei Produttori del Barbaresco is the historical winery of the homonymous Piedmontese town of Barbaresco, founded in 1958 thanks to Don Fiorino Marengo. Today the Cooperativa dei Produttori del Barbaresco winery has 50 members with about 110 hectares of vineyards in Barolo in the 9 best crus of the denomination: Asili, Muncagota, Pora, Rabaja, Ovello, Montestefano, Montefico, Rio Sordo and Pajé; every year a bottle of Barbaresco Riserva per Cru, a Barbaresco Docg from the union of the 9 crus and a Langhe Nebbiolo are produced.
