Ansonaco 2019 Azienda Agricola Altura 

Ansonaco 2019 is a Tuscan white wine produced by Azienda Agricola Altura. It is made using natural methods from 100% ansonaco grapes, an ancient indigenous vine variety of the island of Giglio, from 15 year old bush-trained vines that grow on sandy, stone-rich soils close to the sea.

This wine is made in a completely artisanal way, starting with the harvesting and selection of the grapes, which is done strictly by hand, while the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously at cellar temperature in 5/10 Hl steel barrels with maceration on the skins. The wine then matures for a few months in steel and is bottled without any filtration. The white wine Ansonaco shows in the glass a beautiful amber yellow colour with orange reflections.

The nose is reminiscent of the territory to which it belongs, with hints of saltiness and Mediterranean herbs, accompanied by ripe fruit and smoky notes. The taste is full-bodied and rich, balanced by a good dose of freshness and flavour which is especially noticeable on the finish.
