Produced by Cantine Mosparone in the hills of Monferrato, this Albugnano Superiore 2010 is made from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the estate’s younger and richer vineyards. A wine that expresses elegance, depth, and remarkable ageing potential, enhanced by the outstanding 2010 vintage in Piedmont.
In the glass, it displays a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is broad and refined, revealing aromas of ripe red fruits, black cherry, and plum intertwined with floral hints of violet and dried rose, along with spicy notes of clove, leather, tobacco, and licorice. As it opens in the glass, the wine continuously evolves, unveiling new layers of complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious, and enveloping, with elegant tannins and vibrant freshness leading to a long and persistent finish. Ideal with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
