Champagne Hommage Au Pinot Brut Noir Henri Giraud
Champagne Hommage Au Pinot Brut Noir is a fine wine produced by Henri Giraud. Hommage au Pinot Noir is the newest Blanc de Noir produced by Champagne Henri Giraud. The Champagne is the evolution of the Cuvée "Hommage au Francois Hémart", which was produced until 2019 but contained almost a third of Chardonnay. In 2020, however, the new cuvée produced with 100% Pinot Noir was born.
The base wine ferments in wooden barrels from the Argonne forest, matures for 12 months on the lees and after refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, it rests at least 36 months on the lees in the bottle. The cuvée is composed of 60% wines of the current vintage plus approximately 40% reserve wines. It is a rich yet delicate Champagne that authentically expresses the terroir of Ay.
As with all Henri Giraud Champagnes, you can scan the QR on the back label to view the wine's chemical analysis, which certifies the absence of pesticides. Intense straw yellow in colour with a fine and very persistent perlage, it expresses on the nose a complex aromatic bouquet of white fruits, flowers and notes of pastry. The sip is full and creamy, fresh and refined at the same time. A great Champagne to drink on special occasions.
