Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2017 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze
Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2017 is one of the spearheads of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze: the grapes come from old vines from a 1.46 ha parcel located north of the Grand Cru, on a unique terroir where soils date back to four different geological eras with different compositions.
Vinification for this 2017 vintage is done 25% whole cluster, and like all of the winery's Grands Crus it is aged with 80% new and lightly toasted oak barrels, whose wood comes from Allier and Nivernais.
This wine shows a brilliant ruby red color to the eye, whereas the nose reveals aromas of small red fruits and licorice which give it great elegance. The sip is balanced, clean and rich. Tannins are silky and spicy and floral aromas of rose are perceived.
