Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2015 Droin

A Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2015 is a white wine from the Chablis area in the Burgundy region, produced by Domaine Droin. A very elegant wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, it undergoes a soft pressing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation at controlled temperature and ageing in wood for about 10 months. The Chablis Montmains Premier Cru from Droin is an intense straw yellow colour. On the nose it expresses a bouquet of white fruits and flowers, citrus fruits and mineral hints, in particular flint. On the palate it is balanced between freshness and sapidity, roundness and softness. A great Chablis with a good ageing potential.

The Domaine Jean Paul & Benoît Droin has been located in Chablis, in the northernmost part of Burgundy, for more than 500 years. The Domaine's 25 hectares are now managed by Jean Paul Droin, son of Benoît who left him at the helm in 1999. The Domaine produces almost all the denominations of Chablis wines, from Petit Chablis to Chablis Grand Cru. These are wines with an outstanding quality/price ratio.
