Batârd-Montrachet 2016 Jean Claude Ramonet
This white wine from Bourgogne is produced with Chardonnay grapes coming from the appellation Batârd-Montrachet which spreads on an area of more than 11 hectares (12 acres) in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, and it is part of the five Grand Cru of Côte de Beaune, together with Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet and Montrachet. Cultivated between 240 and 250 meters of altitude, the vines are located on clay-limestone soils, with calcareous brown soils and clayey soils. On the nose this wine offers aromas of yellow fruit, citrus, nuts and honey. The sip is rich and concentrated as it is typical of the wines of this appellation, with a long finish and predisposed to a good aging.
