Vosne Romanee 2017 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret
Vosne Romanée 2017 is a fine wine from Burgundy whose Pinot Noir grapes are cultivated in a 2 hectares estate parcel with plants of an average age of 45 years in the commune of Vosnee Romanée. For the production of this bottle are followed the principles of biodynamic viticulture: grapes are harvested by hand and totally destemmed.
Following a cold pre fermentation between 3 and 5 days before the real and proper fermentation which lasts about 15-20 days where daily pumping over is done. The wines subsequently age in oak barrels (new around 30-40%) for a period ranging from 15 to 18 months depending on the vintage.
This 2017 Vosne Romanée from Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is an extremely elegant wine, characterized by great silkiness and a delicate tannic texture, as well as an attenuated acidity. These aspects are balanced by a remarkable body and a good persistence, while expressing a very aromatic nose of cherry, strawberry and underbrush, together with flower petals and spices.
