Volnay 2020 Marquis d'Angerville
Marquis d'Angerville's Volnay 2020 is a red wine of great elegance and refinement, produced in the Burgundy region of France. Domaine del Marquis d'Angerville is considered one of the most prestigious wine producers in Burgundy, and the winery's philosophy is based on producing high quality wines that reflect the characteristics of the terroir and grape variety used.
The grapes used to produce Volnay 2020 come from vineyards located in the commune of Volnay, an area known for producing high quality wines. The Marquis d'Angerville winery uses environmentally friendly cultivation techniques that aim to preserve the health of the soil and plants. In particular, the winery practices organic farming, avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals and favoring natural methods of plant defense.
Volnay 2020 grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. After crushing, the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 3 weeks. During this period, fermentation is regularly monitored to ensure that the process is carried out in a uniform and controlled manner.
Following fermentation, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for about 18 months. During this period, the wine acquires a deep ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose, Volnay 2020 shows a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of red fruits, spices, tobacco and light floral hints.
In the mouth, it is elegant and well-structured, with soft tannins and fresh acidity. The palate is persistent and harmonious, with notes of red fruit and spices melding into a long and pleasant finish.
