The Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine with Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG) produced in Tuscany, in the territory of the municipality of Montalcino in the province of Siena.
The Brunello di Montalcino can be considered, together with Barolo, the Italian red wine with the longest life.
Brunello is the name given locally in Montalcino to what was believed to be a grape variety.
In 1879 the Ampelographic Commission of the Province of Siena determined, after several years of controlled experiments, that Sangiovese and Brunello were the same grape variety: in Montalcino the name Brunello was therefore transformed into the designation of the wine produced in purity from Sangiovese grapes.
The philosophy of the Cantina di Neri lies in the belief that a wine is the result of the vineyard and the work of man, careful and passionate work that must be aimed at understanding the characteristics of the soil, the microclimate and the grape variety to produce a unique wine, recognizable and capable of expressing the territory.
WHAT IT CONTAINS:
Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2013: The splendid bright red colour of Tenuta Nuova 2013 heralds the potential of this wine.
The initial aroma releases an expressive bouquet of very young red fruit accompanied by the unmistakable balsamic vinegar.
In the mouth it is substantial and rich, with a rare silky and smooth tannic quality. A combination of delicacy, balance and intense aromas of blackberry, it releases the best of itself opened a few hours before and served at the recommended temperature.
Brunello di Montalcino 2014: The 2014 White Label is unique in the history of Casanova di Neri. For the first time since 1978, in fact, this Brunello is the result of the union between the grapes of Tenuta Nuova and Cerretalto 2014, which were not produced in this vintage.
The 2014 vintage is one of the most elegant, refined and feminine versions ever.
The color is a bright and precise red, the nose is fresh with hints of red fruit young, intense and sophisticated while in the mouth part with a fine and pure character that opens with precise tannins, with an acidity perfectly balanced between creaminess and silky texture.
The finish is of infinite persistence.
Rosso di Montalcino 2016: identifies at best the great potential of Sangiovese di Casanova di Neri without having to wait years to express itself at its best. Fruity with hints of cherry, round and elegant tannins are added to a long and refined finish.
Of elegant immediacy but able to evolve in the bottle for a few years to give even more satisfaction according to the philosophy of Casanova di Neri.
