Riesling Lieu Dit Saint Jacques 2017 Emile Beyer
Emile Beyer's Riesling Lieu Dit Saint Jacques is a white wine produced in the Alsace region of France. The Beyer family has been growing grapes in the area since 1580 and has a long tradition of producing high-quality wines.
The grapes used for the production of Lieu Dit Saint Jacques Riesling come from a vineyard located in Eguisheim, Alsace, in an area called 'Lieu Dit Saint Jacques'. This area is characterised by clay and limestone soils with good sun exposure, which favours the ripening of the grapes. The grapes used for the production of Lieu Dit Saint Jacques Riesling are cultivated according to organic farming principles, without the use of pesticides or environmentally harmful chemicals.
The grapes used to produce Lieu Dit Saint Jacques Riesling are harvested by hand and carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice, which is then fermented in stainless steel barrels at a low temperature to preserve the aromatic character of the wine. Fermentation is interrupted to leave a small amount of residual sugar, which gives the wine a fresh, fruity aroma. The wine is then left to mature in the bottle for several months before being marketed.
Emile Beyer's Riesling Lieu Dit Saint Jacques is a dry white wine with a pale yellow colour and green highlights. The nose presents notes of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, accompanied by aromas of white flowers and minerals. In the mouth it is fresh, balanced and slightly creamy, with a good acidity that makes it very versatile with international dishes. The wine has an excellent capacity for ageing, allowing it to develop further aromas and complexity with the passage of time.
