Pack L'Alto Piemonte
The North Piedmont Nebbiolo, the tasting box contains:
Bramaterra 2011 Tenute Sella: made from a blend of native northern Piedmont nebbiolo and croatina grapes, with a small percentage of vespolina. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, with aging in Slavonian oak barrels for 28 months. It is a wine with a bright ruby red color. The nose expresses notes of brambly fruits such as blackberry and raspberry, with spicy and mineral notes. The sip is structured and balanced, with well-blended tannins and a nice mineral finish.
Ghemme Collis Breclemae 2015 Cantalupo: made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which also in this area is capable of producing structured and long-lived wines. The name "Collis Breclemae" comes from the fact that the vineyards are located on the hills overlooking the now-destroyed medieval village of Breclema, a strategic stronghold of the Counts of Biandrate, on the outskirts of Ghemme, near the mouth of Valsesia.
Boca Doc 2017 Le Piane: made from 85 percent Nebbiolo plus 15 percent Vespolina. The minerality of porphyry soils and the unique structure of Nebbiolo come together in "Boca" making it a full-bodied and expressive wine. It shows a garnet red color to the eye while the nose expresses aromas of violets, ripe berries and pomegranate that fade into notes of licorice and tobacco. The sip is powerful yet elegant, with a long sip and a bitter finish.
