Dolcetto d'Alba 2020 Lorenzo Accomasso
Lorenzo Accomasso's Dolcetto d'Alba is a typical red wine from the Piedmont wine region of Italy. It is a wine made from Dolcetto grapes from selected vineyards in the La Morra area.
The Dolcetto vines grow on clay, limestone and iron-rich soils characteristic of the La Morra area, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. Lorenzo Accomasso uses traditional cultivation techniques, such as selective pruning and the use of organic fertilizers, to obtain high quality grapes.
Lorenzo Accomasso's production philosophy is based on the use of natural winemaking techniques, without the use of chemicals to correct pH or acidity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels for about 6 months.
The organoleptic characteristics of Lorenzo Accomasso's Dolcetto d'Alba are fresh and fruity. The wine shows an intense ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose, hints of fresh red fruit, such as cherry and plum, emerge, along with notes of spring flowers. In the mouth, the wine is fruity and smooth, with balanced acidity and a pleasantly tannic finish.
