Champagne Belle Epoque 2012 Perrier Jouet
Belle Epoque is a refined and elegant champagne, which has always been a symbol of the Maison Perrier Jouet, a company with a centuries-old tradition, which saw the light even in 1811. The Maison has 65 hectares of vineyards in the best areas of champagne: Avize, Ay and Dizy. The philosophy that has always distinguished the company is to produce bubbles already enjoyable to the disgorgement, although it can not be denied that with a few years behind, this excellent champagne becomes legendary, even more elegant and deep.
The Belle Epoque champagne cuvée is made from all three grape varieties that can be used, 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier from the best crus of Ambonnay, Avize, Les Mesnil Sur Ogey and Ay. The Chef de Cave of the Maison Perrier Jouet, Hervé Deschamps (the seventh since the company was founded), is responsible for creating a balanced and harmonious cuvée from the very first stages of blending, malolactic fermentation is carried out and after a 60 month pause on the yeasts, the champagne is dosed with 9 g/l of sugar.
The Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque is presented in the glass with an elegant and refined perlage, the nose, like all great champagnes is complex and deep, alternating hints of mineral notes, citrus fruits, honey and pastry. In the mouth it expresses all its grandeur, creamy and balanced, ample and satisfying with mineral and savory notes to close. A champagne for great occasions.
