Barolo Monvigliero 2017 Fratelli Alessandria
Barolo Monvigliero 2017 Fratelli Alessandria is a fine wine from Piedmont. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the prestigious Cru of Verduno, from vines over 40 years old that grow on calcareous soil tending to silty, with a characteristic bright white colour.
in this area the vines enjoy a sublime south/south-west exposure, with an altitude ranging from 250 to 310 metres above sea level. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in steel tanks for 20-25 days, followed by 36 months of refinement in Slavonian oak casks, 2 months in steel and at least 6 months in the bottle.
The Barolo "Monvigliero" expresses a luminous garnet red colour in the glass. The nose expresses a complex and multifaceted bouquet of ripe black cherries, dried leaves, leather and liquorice. The sip is deep and austere, with an elegant soul. An unmissable Barolo, of rare class and grandeur.
