Barolo "Ginestra Casa Maté" 2016 is a Piedmontese fine wine produced by Elio Grasso. It is a great red produced from Nebbiolo grapes from the Ginestra cru, one of the most prized in the Monforte d'Alba area. The wines that are born in this area contain the austerity of traditional Barolos and at the same time an elegance and ease of drinking, is a very fruity profile, superior to other Barolos in other areas. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperature with frequent daily pumping over, then the wine ages for about 30 months in 25 hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels according to the traditional winemaking style historically used for wines suitable for Barolo. The refinement ends in the bottle for another 8-10 months before sale. Barolo "Ginestra Casa Maté" Elio Grasso is a wine with an intense ruby red color, tending towards garnet. The nose expresses a bouquet of ripe red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry, dried flowers, mint and dark spices. In the mouth it is powerful, enveloping, it takes a few years to express itself at its best.
