Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2007 Zeni
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2007 is an elegant and enveloping Veneto wine produced by Zeni. The grapes are carefully hand selected to select the best bunches from which this wine will be made.
The grapes are then left to dry on a plateau for 5 months to favour the concentration of sugars, extract, aromas and glycerine. This is followed by fermentation with maceration on the skins for 25-30 days in wooden vats with manual punching-down, for a final ageing of 5 years in oak casks and a small part in barriques.
The 2007 Zeni Amarone Classico della Valpolicella expresses an intense ruby red colour to the eye. The nose reveals hints of dried fruit, spices, chocolate, cinnamon and toasted almonds, for a full-bodied and enveloping sip, balanced by a little freshness.
