Gevrey Chambertin 2018 Domaine Bruno Clair
Gevrey Chambertin 2018 is a fine French Burgundy wine produced by Domaine Bruno Clair. Entry level of the production of this vigneron based in Marsannay but with some plots also in Gevray Chambertin, it is made from Pinot Noir grapes derived from different vineyards distributed just in the area of this appellation.
The wines of Gevrey Chambertin are famous for their great elegance and finesse, as in this case where we are dealing with a classic of the appellation but which also has a nice structure. It is characterised by an aromatic profile of fruit, flowers and minerals, given by the composition of the terroir. Deep ruby in colour, it has a nose of aromas of black fruits and spices with a floral touch reminiscent of violets. The sip is powerful and concentrated, with a fruity finish.
Bruno Clair Gevrey-Chambertin 2018 pairs perfectly with a coq au vin, an excellent boeuf bourguignon or even a cheese board. The delicacy and finesse of this wine also make it ideal for drinking at a young age, although it is capable of providing great emotions after being stored in the cellar for up to 10 years.
