List of products by brand KALAMASS

Founded in 2018 by Riccardo, a young winemaker from the Canavese, Kalamass revives the historical vineyards of the Morainic Ridge of Ivrea. Guided by minimal intervention and respect for nature, the winery produces authentic wines that express their origin with purity and depth. Kalamass stands out as a new-generation voice of Canavese winemaking — modern, natural, and deeply rooted in local tradition.

Kalamass Winery was born from a dream to reconnect with the viticultural heritage of the Canavese region. Riccardo, its founder, represents a new wave of winemakers who believe in the power of simplicity and the authenticity of the land. By reviving abandoned vineyards on the slopes of the Serra Morenica of Ivrea, he seeks to craft wines that are faithful reflections of their origin — elegant, mineral, and pure.

The name Kalamass draws inspiration from the ancient Celtic roots of the territory. Long before the Roman era, the Canavese was inhabited by Celtic tribes who called the morainic ridge “Kalamass,” a term evoking the geological and cultural heart of the region.

The vineyards, located between Palazzo Canavese and Bollengo, benefit from sandy, stony soils that shape the character of local varieties such as Erbaluce di Caluso and Canavese Nebbiolo. Vineyard work is entirely manual, and farming follows a sustainable, low-intervention approach.

In the cellar, winemaking is gentle and precise: spontaneous fermentations, minimal sulfites, and aging in steel or neutral oak preserve the natural expression of the grapes. The range includes Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG, Erbaluce Spumante, Canavese Nebbiolo DOC, and “Ambiziosa”, a bold red blend of Barbera and Erbaluce.

Kalamass wines are stories in liquid form — a dialogue between past and present, land and sky, man and vineyard. Each bottle conveys the energy of the Serra Morenica and the youthful passion of its creator.
