Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2021 stands as one of the finest expressions of the Bolgheri terroir, nestled in the heart of Tuscany. Crafted by the renowned Ornellaia estate, this wine is a masterful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, grown on well-drained, mineral-rich soils that lend depth and structure to the wine.
The hand-harvested grapes are meticulously selected at peak ripeness to ensure optimal balance and fruit integrity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and purity of fruit, followed by an aging period of approximately 12-14 months in new and second-use French oak barriques. This maturation bestows elegance, complexity, and finely integrated tannins.
In the glass, Le Serre Nuove 2021 displays a deep, intense ruby red color, preluding an enticing aromatic profile of ripe red fruits such as cherry and blackberry, enhanced by spicy notes of black pepper, licorice, tobacco, and subtle balsamic hints.
