Ribolla Gialla 2018 Bastianich

Ribolla Gialla 2018 is a fine wine produced by the Bastianich winery. The wine is entirely made up of Ribolla Gialla grapes, an autochthonous grape of Collio Fiuliano that has become a true symbol of this territory. The main element that gives personality to the wines of this area is the "ponca", a particular stratification of marl and sandstone that tends to disintegrate easily giving rise to very grainy mineral soils, which gives the Collio wines the extraordinary aromatic range. It is not for nothing that they are produced among the best Italian white wines! The harvest is manual, the bunches are carefully selected before fermentation which takes place in stainless steel tanks, as well as the maturation of 6 months on the lees, with batonnage. All this to allow the conservation of the original aromas of the grapes. The Ribolla Gialla 2018 of Bastianich shows a color full of sight, the nose expresses floral and fruity hints of citrus and yellow pulp fruit, followed by a marked minerality given by the geology of the terroir. The fruit and minerals return to the mouth where there is an incredible balance between hardness and softness, ending with an elegant saline trail. This wine is the result of Bastianich's work to create a product that represents the territory, and this Ribolla Gialla does its job perfectly.
