TAITTINGER

Champgne Taittinger - Grandi BottiglieTaittinger: luxury Champagne

Taittinger is one of the most important maison of Champagne: it is located in Reims and has origins that date back to 1932 when Pierre Taittinger, a fan of bubbles, decided to buy the mellow property that stands on the ruins of an abbey dating back to the thirteenth century, and all the surrounding vineyards, to invest in the production of fine bubbles.

After three generations, since 2006 the business has been run by Pierre-Emmanuel and his sons Clovis and Vitalie, who lead the reins of a careful production and at the top of quality that has led Taittinger to be recognized over time as one of the most famous and prestigious Champagne Maison. One of the peculiarities of the Maison are the historical underground cellars, built from limestone quarries of the Gallo-Romanesque period, where the wines rest for a long time on their own yeasts.

All the processes of grape processing and vinification are followed by the talent and experience of the chef de cave Loic Dupontil, who has been serving the Maison for about 30 years. The property has a total of 288 hectares, divided into 34 cru, where Pinot Noir (48%), Pinot Meunier (15%) and Chardonnay (37%) grapes are grown, which is the most identifiable grape variety of the production. Champagne Taittinger are a symbol of luxury and elegance, born from the fusion of tradition and modernity, passion and bond with the territory of origin.
