Pierre Morey Burgundy wines
Domaine Morey is located in the municipality of Meursault, a land where Chardonnay is the absolute protagonist, within the Côte d'Or. The Domaine is run by Pierre Morey, who in 1991 switched to organic agriculture and in 1997 made the definitive transition to biodynamic agriculture. Today Pierre, helped by his daughter Anne, works about 11 hectares of owned vineyards in the municipalities of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. Pierre Morey is an eclectic character: traditionalist but at the same time an innovator, or a terroirista as he likes to define himself. Over the course of 20 years, from 1988 to the end of July 2008, Pierre Morey becomes the cellar master at the Domaine Leflaive, in Puligny-Montrachet. During this period he dealt with all the technical aspects (vines and cellars) of Domaine Leflaive in addition to his own Domaine and his small shopkeeper-eleveur activity. Today among the best wines produced by this fantastic Domain we remember the "Volnay Santenots 1er Cru", the "Meursault Blanc Les Tessons" and the great Meursault Blanc Perrieres 1er Cru, all wines that speak of history and tradition.
