MAILLART

Maillart grandi Bottiglie

Maillart, Champagne sostenibili

Domaine Maillart is a very old Champagne producer whose origins date back to 1753, and is located in Chamery, in the heart of the Reims Mountains. Today, after 300 years of history and nine family generations, it is Nicolas who continues the activity and since 2009 they have increased their commitment to the environment with the construction of 130 square meters of photovoltaic panels, which have reduced consumption by almost 90%.

Domaine Maillart's vineyards are spread across the best Premier and Grand Cru of the Reims hills and are planted in the middle of the hills, an ideal position to produce wines of excellent quality. Mainly Pinot Noir is cultivated (almost 75%) and the remaining Chardonnay, using sustainable principles that respect nature and the environment. Vinification and maturation are carried out either in tanks or in barrels depending on the origin of the grapes.

The reserve wines are also partially matured in barrels to increase their complexity. When it comes time to blend, having a wide variety of wines to choose from, there is the possibility of creating Champagnes of a consistent quality, while also being able to set aside those that are very original and particularly expressive. The cellar has an annual production of about 12,500 bottles.
