Maison Jacquesson, legendary Champagne

The Maison Jacquesson is a historic Champagne company located in Dizy in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, which was founded in 1798. The company boasts notable awards including the gold medal for “la Beauté et la Richesse de ses Caves ”, conferred in 1810 by Napoleon. It was the son of the founders, Adolphe, who played a key role in the history of the company: in 1835 he put the vineyard in rows together with Dr. Jules Guyot, in 1844 he invented and patented the "muselet", or the metal cage that blocks the cap, and a little later, collaborating with the pharmacist Jean-Baptiste François, elaborates the formula to calculate the correct quantity of sugar needed for the second fermentation.

Today the company is managed by the brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, and still produces Champagne that stand out for quality and elegance, processed respecting the traditions, with long periods of aging on the lees, minimum dosages and no filtration. From the thirty hectares of vineyards of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier owned, 75% of the grapes are obtained (the remaining 25% comes from the contributors), following 100% organic cultivation methods, not with a view to becoming an organic company, but for the exclusive purpose of producing great grapes and therefore great wines.

In 2005 La Revue Des Vins De France Jacquesson as the third best maison, second only to Bollinger and Krug. The winery produces a wide range of labels, we remember the very famous cuvée 728, 729, 730, 731, 732, 733, 734, 734DT, 735, 736, 737, 738 and 739. Jacquesson is a legendary company, to which the I deserve to have innovated and perfected techniques and quality and still today produces Champagne that stand out for quality and elegance.
