Francis Boulard: organic Champagne
Since 1973, Francis Boulard has been working in Champagne alongside his father in the management of vineyards.
At the end of the 90s, Francis realized, thanks to profound studies, that the use of synthetic chemistry in the vineyards also left traces in wine.
From there begins the path that leads him towards a biological conduction in the vineyard.
In disagreement with the family on this "bio" line he decides to divide the company and Francis has 3 hectares of vineyards located mainly in Cormicy, northwest of Reims in Saint Thierry.
In 2009 his new company was born.
In the cellar of Francis Boulard only organic methods are used and thanks to these methods a great aromatic complexity and a remarkable depth of drink are reached.
Having to reduce the main characteristics of Boulard's champagne with two adjectives one could say that they are powerful and minerals like few Champagne can be.
Today its wines are among the most sought after and appreciated labels in the region.
