Primitivo Cantalupi 2018 Conti Zecca
Primitivo Cantalupi 2018 IGT is an Apulian red wine produced by Conti Zecca. It bears the name from the Cantalupi Estate where it is made, for the most part Primitivo grapes together with a minimum percentage of other red berried grapes, as well as the IGT specification. After the collection and the careful selection, the grapes undergo a soft pressing, then the must ferments in stainless steel containers, while during the refinement the wine is moved to concrete tanks. In this way the grapes can keep their primary characteristics intact, for a fresh and lively wine, at the same time soft. At sight it appears an intense ruby red, full color typical of the primitive and its richness of anthocyanins. The nose prevails a fruity aroma of ripe red berry fruit, plum and cherry, in a delicately spiced frame. On the palate it is medium-bodied, soft, with the delicate tannin typical of the primitive, which makes it easy to drink despite its 14% alcohol. It goes well with pasta dishes or meat-based second courses that are not too elaborate.
